Goals

My main goals are:

• To post my own homebrew PrCs and core classes.
• To recover my old work, and work of gifted others who have left the wiki.
• To DM my own campaign (in progress)
• To create entirely new horror-campaign monsters (for example, "Deadites" (Fallen Soldiers), Queen Aranea, etc.)
• To randomly fix the coding for articles that need it. One good turn deserves another.
• To post my very own collection of homebrew battle magic spells.
• To keep 3.5 alive and well.

Current Character Information

Name: Danzig Nyttafjell

Class: Battlemage 2. Danzig has completed a few levels of training as a battlemage, and is looking to branch out into warblade, the better to hunt vampires with. He even has penned a few unique battle magic spells of his own.

Race: Tiefling (Lightbringer variant). Danzig was tainted by evil while artificially being gestated in a magical laboratory (Due to being near-fatally wounded in his mother's womb by a crossbow bolt at about 7 months gestation, and born prematurely). This manifests as a rather unpleasant garlic smell (except, oddly for his breath), and a pungent odor of psychedelc mushrooms wafting off his hands every time he casts a spell. Certain animals, especially horses do no trust him. Howver, his relentless drive to redeem the evil in his blood has begun to manifest as a strange holy radiance which aids him and his allies at times.

Gender Male

Alignment: Neutral Good. Danzig is whole-heartedly devoted to Good, but being what he is he must strive even harder to do good deeds, as it does not come easy to him yet.

Deity: Formely Nodens. Currently Ilmater. Danzig was assigned to do boon work for the Temple of Ilmater in Abolin by Abermose, the High Archmage of the Genushi Academy of Applied Metaphysics. Given that his allies, Ragnar Turnheaval and Ragnar's adopted "sisters" Aneka and Quintessa Pike (who are actually cousins) all worship the Crying God, it was only a matter of time before Danzig shed his worship of the hard-hearted Nodens and embraced the love and peace of Ilmater.

About Danzig: Danzig Nyttafjell is the son of the barbarian Petrus Nyttafjell, and the bard Elyssila Nijhoeven. When Elyssila was 1 month pregnant (and unaware), Petrus left suddenly in the night to face Edifon, a fight which he ultimately lost.

Six months later, there was an attack on the Academy of Magic, during which Edifon shot Elyssila through the torso with her own crossbow, mortally wounding her, and wounding Danzig in utero. As she lay there dying, she went into premature labor, and Danzig was born a whole two months early. Knowing the boy would not live without proper aid, Abermose brought the baby to a laboratory chamber within the Academy, where the boy was artificially gestated in a tank to an age of about two years in an extended magical ritual. Unfortunately, Danzig was also born a tiefling, due to his mother's dormant fiendish blood. This manifests as a rather unpleasant garlic smell, and unpleasant odors tend to linger on him. In addition, animals tend to shy away from Danzig, especially horses. However, sugar cubes alleviate his problem with horses. Danzig hopes someday to redeem the fiendish taint in his blood, and indeed, his actions are well on the way to achieving it.

Danzig trained as a battlemage in the Academy, specializing in Evocation, Abjuration, and Transmutation. As a rule, he detests necromancy and anything connected with it, especially undead. During his time in the Academy, he had the opportunity to teach himself the theory of the Sublime Way, a rather esoteric fighting style. He now practices kata with his sword, hoping to perfect this new martial style.

When Danzig left the Academy, he brought his mother's katana, a jade ring given to him by his uncle, and his spellbooks.

He also was a worshipper of Nodens, in his aspect as Hunter. However, he has lately questioned his devotion to Nodens, as a new deity has entered his worship; Ilmater, the Crying God. His new adventuring companions, with the exception of the kobold witch doctor Gricker, all happen to be Ilmatians themselves. In fact, it was on order from Abermose that Danzig seek out the paladin Ragnar Turnheaval and take up in Abolin as a field assignment. During this time, Danzig met the love of his life, the young priestess Aneka Pike. Currently they are in an ongoing courtship.

Given time, Danzig hopes to lead his companions back to the Haunted City, and break the temporal curse upon it.

Danzig is gifted with an admittedly laconic wit, and an almost total lack of fear. He has been known to trade verbal barbs as he does battle, which usually ends with his enemy losing their cool. Danzig also is a lover of cigars, and will often light one with a tindertwig when either discussing battle plans, sizing up a potential battleground, or relaxing with a large mug of ale in a tavern or in camp. It is also of note that he was the first to trust the kobold Gricker, and he indeed regards the small scaly creature as a welcome friend. This is due in part to their shared command of the Draconic language and the practice of alchemy. While Danzig finds Gricker's odd behaviour amusing, Gricker freely admits that not only does Danzig smell garlicky and delicious, he also tastes good too. Gricker has occaisionally forgot himself and bit Danzig, much to the laughter of the rest of the party, and a yelp of pain from Danzig. A kobold is still a kobold, after all.
