Race theory
One human form, two orientations, four limbs, and 8 points create the races of the world. This creates too much symmetry for stability, so the fifth point holds it solid: the head. These 8 points form the points of a four-dimensional hypersphere which is the soul itself. Your race, generally, preselects 3 of 4 dominant ability score biasiis or asymetris, allowing only experimentation or differentiation among 1 other abilty score (but if you become the racial leader, you can select 2 of the 4).
Humans generally don’t get a rocial bonus, but if you state that you’re dedicated to improvng your race, you may receive +1 (up to +3/5? in the course of your life) INT bonus. (A race badge sewn or ironed onto a prominant article of clothing, for exmaple, is an automatic +1, organizing clans and game-universe agendas, another +1)
There are four corners to the humanoid soul: Perceptivity, Heart/Purity, Wits, Power (Strength and Consitution), and Initiative. The first and last of these define the outer parts of the soul and denote, respectively, the inputs and outputs of the body. The heart and wits axiis define the human soul from the use of language and compose an immune system. This coincides to the circulatory vs nervous systems of the body, respectively.
There are two corners or traits that define a race, creating the axis between root and crown. A 3rd is generally set by the highest member of the race. Perhaps they want it to be more intellgent, for example. So this cant’ be changed by a lower-levelled member. Heart + Strength define the Shou race, leading to a DEX bonus. Wits + Initiative define the Ayran race, giving a STR bonus. This Primary Axis rotates so that the two are indistinguishable within the body/soul, like yin and yang. Duplicate! RAces are experiements by the gods on certain questions that only the giants know, revolving around the best traits to bring abouts the greatest world. Is it higher intelligence, better looks, stronger people, etc? Only the gods experiment with such quesitons, best keep you point-buying away, lest you mess it up the wisdom put it in motion. This select the 1st of the 3 scores that define the race.
in the First Age, there were a plethora, a cornocopia of races. Half-human and half-animal experiments were done then. Many half of one animal and half-of another were done as well before the gods learned to differentiate so that the beauty and specialization of each could
To tbis end up to 25% of the points may be affected for race variation (thats 15 points in OD&D and 20pts in D&D1) can be affected. The wisdom of the gods is the make each race balanced, so you must subtract 1 from somewhere for every 1 you add. , so that no race has an advantage over another. The wisdom of a higher point-spread is the race dynamics can be more apparent during game play. Th dwarfs CONstitution might help them survive a situation where other’s couldn’t, for example. Each race gets to survive differently so they can use their skills for other players.
If other players get high levels of gameplay, the wisdom score of all other players can get incremented within the same race. So if a dwarf reaches LVL100, all other dwarves throughout the realm get at least a +LVL/(# in population) bonus wisdom (up to max 20 score). But if there’s a family or kinship of some kind this #LVL of wisdom points can be allocated specifically to a clan of 10, for example (but still some of the #LVL must be available to the race at large).
Every (four-limbed) soul has a four + four columns in which their race/species is ordered.
For ordinate coabilities that are dominate and related to the order of their body-type (dwarven, elven, whatever).
Aryan, Elven, and some Fey races are configured with 3 ordinate, 3 subordinate abilities, held by 2 antipodes of their archetype. For all humanoids and mammals(?), this is head vs. genitial,
Fey have 2 dominate columns and are humans otherwise have 3, with a special case for faeruni who have the most with 4 columns, yet least distinct of any other race.
Other races
Humans are the umbra race — the starting material for making others. They are defined by their mostly hairless egets +1 INT bonus (the gift of the All-Pater/Mater) that is temporary if the player doesn’t use their wits propertly during gameplay. That is, it last for one (or two) tiers (whichever is past level 3) and then is evaluated: did they just follow along, or did they stay inquisitive? The latter can continue to accumulate up to +3 racial bonus (unlike the +5 for other races).
To make races more significant, the spread of points should be 6-10 from racial bonuses+penalties. Perhaps even more, if the DM wants to experiment. Dragonborn and faeries are so different from the other humanoid races, you might justify a 20 point spread.
Miscellanea (not for D&D, please ignore): Sub note: After the apple, the animals with paws, ordered themselves male-female as Man. Hooved animals may have taken longer, and become ordered this way after the Jesus event.
