One of the races in D&D.

This race is a feral race. If they speak and have language (shared amidst themselves), they can be taught from things they have seen before -- if the leap of logic isn't too great (their mana has to generate the distance to bridge the neurons). This doesn't have to be a limitation if the creature stores mana (like an elephant), in which case their leaps can be greater than any humanoid (this effect, human, comes from the gods seeing these great paths of logic).

If they are mammalian they should be assigned a PER score of the goddess which rules over them. If they are dragonborn, then a CHR score of 20 (max intimidation, actual scpre depends on AGE, If 5000yrs old and ancient?, then CHR=20). They don't have tier paths (the goddess raises their tiers), unless they choose a class, but it doesn't really make sense for the feywild types. In fact, it's a little bit ridiculous. Like monkeys wearing business suits. If a feywild were to have a class, it would be a new species of feywild. THAT is how the feywild work; i.e., different specializations becomes new animal types/species, rather than possess class.

An example of feywild in different tiers is the liger (tiger-lion) compared to most every other animal. The liger is a tier beyond pretty much every other fey creature. Likewise, mammals could be considered in a tier above insects.

In exchange for their higher PER score, they must keep an equally lower INT (or some stat). To gain more knowledge feywild must dialog with others or learn by imitation. But generally, they sacrifice INT because the goddess takes care of them. Fey intelligence is real, yet collectively held by the goddess. Each species has light competition to improve their particular "race". Raccoons might be a mutual INT of 15, while the rabbi a mutual INT of 10. In theory, These species-shared, ability scores can be computed by their experience (in theory). Like the 100 monkey phenomenon, when one individual of a species learns something, they all learn it. This is the source of their mutual INT. Because of this little "game" of the AllThatIs, gradations of INT scores may go into sub-integers 100ths), like 15.60 (or 15.6).

NOTE: After this point, the text is for anyone who wants to arrange it properly for D&D. There is some sound reasoning, but the grammar and order is rough....

The 20PER score gives slight favor (the actual value is determined by a differential between the male side above and the female side below, such that if the male side gets higher experience than the female side (collectively), then it switches to their opposite score: ASM. These two are shared with their counterparts. so while it seems like a competition, they amplify each other collectively/mutually. When one has the power, the other has the sensitivity); however, in order to maintain their perceptivity, they cannot betray their own kind (eating meat from the wild, for example). These are the rules of some goddess (I know not which) over mammals -- much like the demi-plane that some wizards say is called "Earth".

They are the only race that can stack attributes, like having a STR 40 if you eliminate PTY, or even a STR 80 if you eliminate CHR, PTY, and ASM (generally unneeded fey abilities). They can stack one column if it's their first feywild character. If they've played one before, they can stack two. Three times, then perhaps three... But for this ability, they cannot declare a class. I DON'T MAKE THE RULES.

They have a natural ability to detect whether an item is cursed or blessed and will tend to avoid or seek it.

If they get low on mana, they'll seek out protected areas to rest.

MVOETO(wizard): Some high-level wizards can conjure such races and build them into what they want. Such NPCs cost some equivalent XP, mana, or gold in weight. A wizard has to use their own mana to animate such creatures. Once conjured, the intake of breath and ingestion of food source can animate them from there.

For gender, they don't have to declare, as they emerge just at the point of gender separation. But once the question is asked or (in case of a faery) a gender is believed, it sets the direction and they should stick with it.

Fey should not take an occupation or class. By definition they do not act on the order of others, but stay pure, acting spontaneously. This makes fey magic unique as it comes without pre-ordered spells.

If, on the other hand, they wish to join the regular world and take an occupation, they revert to elven or human or dwarven forms and any class stacking gets reordered like normal humanoids.

Fey creatures learn, not by a mind, but by imitating things they see. This is one of the primary differences between the goddess side and the god-side.

DM notes:

  • In theory, because they don't have a mind like human(oids), their INT will stay at 10 or below. However, they can still be capable of great insights if they are a otherwise conservative creature with their mana and life force. The mana can build and bridge large gaps of their soul to create a powerful insight.
  • Not that you're going to role-play the sexual mechanics or anything (and don't tell scientists in this world who don't really understand), but while animals are fey creatures and don't have a large gender separation (which is why male and female look very similar in many cases), they are kept with a gender defined by their genitalia, so that they don't lose their reproductive abilities.
  • Unlike mammals, by the way (another thing your scientists don't understand), reptiles don’t have a sex but lay eggs from a unisex body as need requires. This means they a-sexually reproduce.
  • Same sex fey creatures can only learn by showing them, while if they are opposite sex, they can dialog and build from each others minds. This is because the same-sex creatures draw upon the same mind. The mind is kept with the (named) species type. As they dialog with their opposite sex friends and realize new things together, the goddess learns with them and keeps their realization. This raises their effective intelligence, even though the score is always normalized to INT10 or so. This means that they don’t dialog much with their own sex or even "fraternize", as they already know each’s knowledge, except for sharing things they've found and experiences.

Merge:

If they are mammalian-like, they should be assigned a PER score of 20. If they are dragonborn, then a CHR score of 20. They don't have tier paths, unless they choose a class.

In enchange for this PER 20, they must keep only an INT of 10. To gain more knowledge feywild must dialog. As they do so with their opposite sex friends and realize new things together, the goddess learns that keeps them and this raises their effective intelligence, even though the scofe is always normalized to INT10. This means that they don’t dialog much wih thei own sex as they already know each’s knowledge, except for personal perception and excperiences.

The 20PER score gives slight favor, however, so to balance this, they get lower HP (-10%) and lower CON (-1 -3). [OR?] In order to maintain their perceptivity, they cannot betray their own kind (eating meat from the wild, for example).
