After speaking the words and holding your unholy symbol aloft, a dark sphere gathers around your outstretched hand. You focus on your target and unleash the ball of negative energy onto the closing enemy. As it hits, dark energy spreads out and engulfs the creature and its nearby allies.
After succeeding on a ranged touch attack, you shoot from your outstretched hand a ball of negative energy that does 1d8+1 points of damage per two caster levels dealing splash damage to a target creature or square (maximum 10d8+10). The targeted creature is allowed a Will save for half and creatures in surrounding squares can make a Reflex save to negate all damage. This spell functions in a similar way to Inflict spells for purposes spontaneous spell casting, feats, or alignment that may limit your spell casting choices. Since undead are powered by negative energy, this spell cures such creatures of a like amount of damage, rather than harming it.
Focus: Holy/Unholy symbol of your deity
