A turtle is defined by the incredibly hard shell that covers most of its reptilian, quadruped body.
Turtles come in many varieties and sizes. They live in a remarkably diverse array of habitats, but most live near water. While not all turtles can swim, this one can handle rivers, seas, and land. These statistics best portray a pet turtle or a familiar that is about 1 foot long and weighs only a few pounds.
