Tupandactylus is an omnivorous pterosaur that primarily feeds on fish and carcasses, but it also has a sweet tooth for Citrus fruits and berries. It shares many behaviorial traits with its cousin Tapejara. Tupandactylus is a little more aggressive than Tapejara, ramming intruders on its nest turf with its surprisingly strong head crest. The Tupys will continue to ram the attacker until they either leave or die by falling off of cliffs or from the impacts from the Tupys. Tupys will often feed these remains to their chicks after the threat is eliminated.
