True Damphir (5e Race)
True Damphir[edit]
"They are the kings and queens of the night, the true children of Barovia"
Physical Description[edit]
True Damphirs look like a human or elf.
History & Society[edit]
A True Damphir can only be born from a original vampire, that is, a vampire that was not transformed by another vampire (such as Strad) - a regular vampire will give birth to a regular damphir instead. Because such vampires are very rare, so are True Damphirs. This rarity means they don't have a society or culture of their own, but many are know to take barovian culture as their own. The relationship a True Damphir have with it's parent can be incredible complex or as simple as a relationship can be, but it always shape the Damphir.
