Trox[edit]

Most folks will never see a trox, they are a weird people. Big, strong, and not usually bright, but damn are they something else in a hunt. I once saw a tribe of them take down a blue dragon with nothing but their bare mandibles and sharp stones... it was one hell of a sight.

Physical Description[edit]

Trox are large insectoid humanoids sporting two large arms and a set of six smaller ones which spring out of their torso, these arms are typically used for digging or holding small objects or tools. They sport thick shelled hides, large scything mandibles and a well muscled body structure.

History[edit]

The trox lack a true written history and much of their early history is shrouded in mystery and dangerous red tape, though even the most ignorant or poorly informed individuals, both in and outside of the race, know they were once slaves to assorted masters in the Underdark in ages long past.

Society[edit]

Trox typically live alone or in small bands of eight to ten. Usually these groups are made up of an alpha pair and their young. Only the alpha pair is allowed to breed or lead the band in any large capacity. Though sometimes several bands will group up together creating small tribes of no more than thirty, this will only be done during times of great plenty or great peril. The tribes will be lead by the eldest breeding pair and will usually be found occupying large caves, or squatting near unclaimed patches of greenery in the desert. Most adolescent trox will travel solo once they have reached breeding age until they can find a mate and begin their own band. Many trox will, however, choose to live their entire lives solitary hunting and dwelling alone. Trox are a species which follows the principal of "might makes right" and are often brutish and straightforward in their approaches to life, and their interactions with other civilized races. Allying oneself with a trox, while often difficult, can often be a rewarding choice as they are incredibly loyal to those who they deem worthy of their time and respect. Trox despise slavery in any form, possibly due to their ancient past, and will often go out of their way to raid slaver caravans to put down those who do such vile deeds.

Trox Names[edit]

Trox names are typically simple and kept to a single syllable. They also lack last names.

Male: Bram, Hern, Grag, Kex

Female: Ban, Yuhk, Ril, San
