The hidious mixture of a troll and dragon dives from above. Its oversized troll arms thrash about, tearing its foes apart as it attacks who ever is closest, ignoring all blows set upon it
Troll dragons are a rare oddity with only one known to exist. It is the result of Satrrii’s experimental arcane and divine mixture of monsters. His insanity lead him to the brute strength and regeneration abilities with size and special abilities of a dragon. The result is an over sized dragon with troll-like features with terrifying strength and ability to take massive amounts of bodily harm and to keep attacking. The lack of intelligence and disregard for its own well being make it a dangerous foe indeed. Troll dragons lack the scales of a dragon, keeping their troll skin. This skin gets thicker as it gets older but provides less of a defense then scales would.
Troll dragons collect anything that shine sparkles or glows. Usually live in a high mountain cave that over looks bridges, valleys, or other travel choke points. Their ability to fly lets them cover ground quickly so several areas could be under the Troll dragon’s eye.
Combat[edit]
Alternate Form (Su): A silver dragon can assume any animal or humanoid form of Medium size or smaller as a standard action three times per day. This ability functions as a polymorph spell cast on itself at its caster level, except that the dragon does not regain hit points for changing form and can only assume the form of an anirmal or humanoid. The dragon can remain in its animal or humanoid form until it chooses to assume a new one or return to its natural form. The troll dragon’s intelligence limits the forms it can assume to a troll, a troll/dragon hybrid of Large size, usually a mostly troll-like creature with a dragon tail wings large enough for it to fly (Flight speed 150, poor) or its original form.
Rend (Ex): If a troll hits with both claw attacks, it latches onto the opponent’s body and tears the flesh. This attack automatically deals additional points of damage as shown on the table.
Regeneration (Ex): Fire and acid deal normal damage to a troll. If a troll loses a limb or body part, the lost portion regrows in 3d6 minutes. The creature can reattach the severed member instantly by holding it to the stump.
