More information...

Remarkably fast for one of its kind, the mimic charges you. It flies into a rage equal that of a barbarian.

These mimics have taken levels in barbarian, and use them to win the battles that ensue after their true forms are revealed. Other than relishing battle, these mimics behave the same as ordinary mimics. Their name comes from the very first of their kind, he was named Trasher the Mimic. A typical trasher mimic has a volume of 150 cubic feet (5 feet by 5 feet by 6 feet) and weighs about 4,500 pounds. Trasher mimics speak Common.

Combat[edit]

Trasher mimics will often fly into a rage at the start of a fight, and attack fiercely until all opponents are dead. They rely on their strong attacks to destroy opponents.

Adhesive (Ex): A trasher mimic exudes a thick slime that acts as a powerful adhesive, holding fast any creatures or items that touch it. An adhesive-covered trasher mimic automatically grapples any creature it hits with its slam attack. Opponents so grappled cannot get free while the mimic is alive without removing the adhesive first. A weapon that strikes an adhesive-coated trasher mimic is stuck fast unless the wielder succeeds on a DC 16 Reflex save. A successful DC 16 Strength check is needed to pry it off. Strong alcohol dissolves the adhesive, but the trasher mimic still can grapple normally. A trasher mimic can dissolve its adhesive at will, and the substance breaks down 5 rounds after the creature dies.

Crush (Ex): A trasher mimic deals 1d8+6 points of damage with a successful grapple check.

Fast Movement (Ex): The land speed of the trasher mimic is 10 ft. higher than the norm for mimics.

Improved uncanny dodge (Ex): The trasher mimic cannot be flanked. This defense denies a rogue the ability to sneak attack the trasher mimic by flanking it, unless the attacker has at least nine rogue levels.

Mimic Shape (Ex): A trasher mimic can assume the general shape of any object that fills roughly 150 cubic feet (5 feet by 5 feet by 6 feet), such as a massive chest, a stout bed, or a wide door frame. The creature cannot substantially alter its size, though. A trasher mimic’s body is hard and has a rough texture, no matter what appearance it might present. Anyone who examines the mimic can detect the ruse with a successful Spot check opposed by the trasher mimic’s Disguise check. Of course, by this time it is generally far too late.

Rage (Ex): Twice per day, the trasher mimic can fly into a rage. In a rage, the trasher mimic temporarily gains a +4 bonus to Strength, a +4 bonus to Constitution, and a +2 morale bonus on Will saves, but it takes a -2 penalty to Armor Class. The increase in Constitution increases the trasher mimic's hit points by 2 points per level, but these hit points go away at the end of the rage when its Constitution score drops back to normal (these extra hit points are not lost first the way temporary hit points are). While raging, the trasher mimic cannot use any Charisma-, Dexterity-, or Intelligence-based skills (except for Balance, Escape Artist, Intimidate, and Ride), the Concentration skill, or any abilities that require patience or concentration. A fit of rage lasts for 10 rounds. The trasher mimic may prematurely end the rage. At the end of the rage, the trasher mimic loses the rage modifiers and restrictions and becomes fatigued (-2 penalty to Strength, -2 penalty to Dexterity, can’t charge or run) for the duration of the current encounter.

Trap sense (Ex): The trasher mimic gains a +1 bonus on Reflex saves made to avoid traps and a +1 dodge bonus to AC against attacks made by traps.

Uncanny dodge (Ex): The trasher mimic retains its Dexterity bonus to AC even if it's caught flat-footed or struck by an invisible attacker. However, it still loses its Dexterity bonus to AC if immobilized.
