Totem of Possessions[edit]

Shaman Subclass

Shamans that follow the ascension of the Totem of Possessions are one with the spirits who have not been able to reach the afterlife, using their bodies to enable them to do what they had been unable to do during their short mortal lives.

Spirit Stance

Starting at 3rd level, Your bond with the spirits is strengthened, allowing you to add your Wisdom modifier to the CR of the creatures that can inhabit your body. Unlike Spiritual Possession, you can now choose only one element from the creature's entire sheet to absorb for the duration of the possession (this includes any speeds, armor classes, skills, resistances, or Legendary Actions).

Additionally, at 6th, 10th, and 14th levels, you can choose an additional creature, up to a maximum of 4 creatures at a time.

Spiritual Aura

At 6th level, arcane magic from beyond surrounds you, creating a 20 foot area. All allies within this aura gain an additional bonus to attack and damage equal to your Wisdom modifier. The effect doesn't wear off even if you're unconscious.

At 13th level, the aura's range doubles to 40 feet.

Fury of the Dead

At 10th level, you gain the ability to enchant your attacks with the force of the afterlife. Your weapons and spells attacks deal 1d6 additional radiant, force or necrotic damage. You may use a bonus action to change the damage type of this feature.

At 13th level, the allies inside your aura may benefit from the same bonus.

Spirit Invoker

At 14th level, you can leave your body entirely at the control of the spirits that inhabit it, taking ethereal form within the same aura that surrounds it. You can command the spirits as if they were your companions and have your turn immediately before or after them. You can use this ability for up to 1 minute and as many times as your Wisdom modifier. If your body falls unconscious, your soul is reunited with it.
