Tiefling Subrace[edit]
Tiamat lies imprisoned within Avernus, but her cruel draconic and devilish faithful spread her influence still. Tieflings tied to her carry resilience to elements and appear somewhat draconic, but usually with multiple colour combinations of black, blue, green, red, and black, rather than just one.
Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 1.
Chromatic Resistance. Whenever you finish a long rest, choose acid, cold, fire, lightning, or poison damage. You gain resistance to this damage type until the next time you finish a long rest. (This trait replaces Hellish Resistance.)
Legacy of the Many Mawed. You know the thaumaturgy cantrip. Once you reach 3rd level, you can cast the bane spell once. Once you reach 5th level, you can cast the dragon's breath spell once. You must finish a long rest to cast one of these spells again with this trait. You can cast these spells without requiring a material component. Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells when you cast them with this trait (choose when you select this race).
