Barbarian, Fighter, Monk, Paladin and Ranger Subclass
Thunder Cleaves are fierce servants of the gods of thunder and lightning, wielding the raw power of the storm itself. With the might of raging tempests coursing through their veins, they unleash the fury of thunder and lightning upon the battlefield, striking down their enemies with divine wrath.
- Bonus Proficiencies
Level 3 Thunder Cleave feature
You gain proficiency in Nature and Religion. If you are already proficient on these skills, you add twice your proficiency bonus in checks with them.
- Channel Lightning and Thunder
Level 3 Thunder Cleave feature
You can channel a weapon you wield with the power of the storm. At the start of your turn, You can spend 2 channeling points to infuse either lightning or thunder on your attacks. For 1 minute, you cause additional 1d4 damage from the chosen type. The damage increases to 1d6 when you gain the second feature in this subclass, 1d8 when you gain the third feature and 1d10 when you gain the fourth feature.
You have a number of channeling points equal to twice your class level. You regain all points whenever you finish a long rest.
- Storm Magic
level 6+ Thunder Cleave feature
You start to dabble in magic, gaining the power to control the elements. You learn the shatter spell, which you can cast by spending 3 channeling points.
In addition, when you spend channeling points you become imbued by lightning, being able to move quickly by teleporting up to a range of 10 feet per point spent to an unoccupied space you can see, using a Bonus Action.
Your spell save DC is 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier.
- Superior Storm Magic
Level 10+ Thunder Cleave feature
Your storm magic control improves. You can cast lightning bolt , sleet storm and wind wall by spending 5 channeling points.
In addition, you gain resistance to lightning and thunder damage.
- Thunderous Rebuke
Level 14+ Thunder Cleave feature
You can unleash the power of the storm against your attackers. As a reaction when you are hit by a melee weapon attack, you can force a creature to make a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed, the target takes thunder damage equal to your Channel Lightning and Thunder damage die and is pushed 15 feet back.
You can spend 1 channeling point to use this feature against ranged attacks from creatures within 60 feet. The damage is lightning instead and the target is pulled up to 15 feet toward you on a failed save.
- Thunder Cleave
level 18 Thunder Cleave feature
Your strikes reverber with thunderous power. Whenever you hit a creature with a channeled strike, you can make another attack against creature within 5 feet of your primary target.
