A throwing glaive appears much like a normal glaive, except that it has an inner gear. It is wielded by putting your hands through the gaps in the gear and then swinging it around (to attack in melee) or throwing it. Its unique shape allows it to go a great distance for its size and it will also return to the spot from where it was thrown before the next round, a gear glaive loses this ability when wielded by anyone that isn't a follower of Geayer. When it comes back it can be caught as a free action. If it isn't caught it will drop to the ground and requires a move action to retrieve it. In addition a gear glaive gives a +2 bonus to disarm attempts.
Note: A gear glaive with the "returning" special ability gains no extra bonus.
