The ultimate narcicist (3.5e Optimized Character Build)
From D&D Wiki
Introduction[edit]
everything and everyone is your bitch, from the weave of magic to the gods to extraplanar entities, everything exists to serve you. In practice this is combining mystic theurge, wizard and ur priest, giving you supreme divine and arcane spellcasting abillities. (if you consider the b-word to be strong or foul, i suggest leaving this page immedeatly)

Progression[edit]

Other Components[edit]
for this build, the enchantment wizard variant that grants extra class skills is perfect, but not needed if you wanna play some other kind of wizard so. This build can make for an exceptional necromancer, especially if you take the "ultimate necromancer" prestige class instead of mystic theurge.
Highlights[edit]
you cast divine spells, despite not being an worshipper of any god, so you can be the strongest mystic theurge, since The ur priest has an spell casting progression that is much faster than an cleric. You will "finish" this build at 15th level, with ample of room left for multiclassing into any prestige class you might want
Munchkin-Size Me[edit]
when you can gain no more levels in mystic theurge, you have five levels left to spend on any prestige class you so wish, but i suggest you go for thaumaturgist since you are able to cast lesser planar ally with your ur-priest levels and progress as wizard, so that you can dominate even the forces of hell do do your bidding or arch mage to truly become the master of everything, recommendations for planar cohorts you might want include succubi, illithu, . If playing an human character, replacing three of your four wizard levels with human paragon is a good idea since it means higher ability scores for you, and means that if you do not need to miss out on one of the social skills you have ranks in with mystic theurge.
another, fully possible option, remains to become an lich, and have death itself be your bitch. To do so would greatly increase your ability not to die, and could also mean that you can spellstich yourself. To do so increases your ECL, but you could easily do it, finish the ultimate narcisist progression and still have one level left before ECL 20 and epic levels.
Side Notes[edit]
<- overview of additional info about this build ->
Limitations[edit]
this build, while strong, has not quite the same spellcasting progression as cleric or wizard, so you might be slightly weaker than more focused casters, yet still more powerful than an mystic theurge. Most of your hit dice will be d4, so do not go into melee ever, or even get hit
DM Counters[edit]
it is not so OP that it requires an specific counter, but he is particularly vunerable to stab wounds since most his levels have d4 hit dice
