Introduction[edit]

This is a campaign designed to pretty much allow for almost all of the different races to appear in a single realm, allowing players freedom of make any character they want, without fear of it being "Against the Setting"

History[edit]

In the Beginning[edit]

According to the oldest known texts, the Prime Realm was small, barely a continent across. Nobody is entirely sure what it was like back then. All that is known is that the beings known as "The First Ones" populated it. At this time, the realm was a paradise. Peace reigned supreme and violence was a completely foreign concept. But, The First Ones grew tired of this and sought to expand, to see new things. After a time, they figured out how to manipulate the laws of the universe to their whim, expanding the realm exponsentially. Eventually, the realm grew so large that it folded back on itself, becoming spherical. With everything catalogued and seen, the First Ones fell into their stagnation. Until they discovered that they could create... Intelligent life...

The Dragons were the first to be created, who The First Ones created to be equals. But, they forgot to temper their intelligence with the wisdom that they had. Soon, the Dragons were creating beings to serve them, beings created in their image, but still inferior so as they could retain dominion over them. The Dragonborn. Soon, all of the First Ones were creating these creatures, intelligent beings that would serve them, that would make things. Soon, The First Ones stopped being known by this moniker and a new one was created for them. Gods. The Gods made their people build new and interesting things for them to explore. The gods lived among the people, serving as their rulers, with each god creating new and different races. It did not take long for the gods peoples to meet. Soon, arguments arose. Eventually, the Gods were given access to, what could be considered, the most interesting thing that they had never explored before. Violence.

The Age of War and The Age of The Fall[edit]

The very first act of violence, nobody is entirely sure where or when it took place. Some say that a Dragonborn slew a Human, others say that an Elf attacked their god. Whatever the case, the literal first punch had been thrown and now, the gods were eager to see this brand new concept. Over the next thousand years, countless beings died. Many races created and lost to the tides of time. Eventually, the mortals grew sick of the war and turned on their creators. The Dragons were the first to fall, killed by their Dragonborn sires. Upon watching the dragons fall, a number of the gods saw the madness for what it was and decided to try and restore peace, however, not all wanted this. Several of the gods created monsters that were designed only to kill and escalate the war further. A number of the gods were slain as their kingdoms were overrun by these creatures. Eventually, 9 remained. 3 that wanted to continue the destruction, 3 that wanted to leave the mortals to their own devices and the other 3 wanted to end all of this suffering. Each of the 6 that wanted to stop the madness chose a champion. A mortal from their people and granted them power immeasurable. 3 became Giants, 3 became Angels. In response the 3 gods of destruction chose their own champions, who took the form of a Giant and 2 angels. The battle between the champions waged on for a century, the gods watching.

The Age of Rebirth, The Rise of the Mecha's and The Parting[edit]

However, as the Champions fought, the mortals were left to their own devices, they began to build anew, to mingle, to interact with each other outside of the battlefield. Communities began to arise where the mortals lived with each other, regardless of whichever god sired them. Orcs and humans living together with Goblins and Firbolgs, Dragonborn and Dwarves plowing fields together, this is when the Hybrids started to show up. It turned out that the mortals could not only breed among their own species, but among the others as well. The last of the dragons, a being by the name of Pendra that had escaped the slaughter and had gone into hiding, saw the beauty of this and decided to watch as the mortals began to do as their creators had done, in beginning to create brand new life among them. However, this mild peace was not to last. One of the gods of Destruction had slunk away from the battle, seeing his champion beginning to lose and unleashed a new horde of monsters upon the mortals. Pendra, not wanting to see the beauty of the mortals to be destroyed, went to the mortal kings and gave each of them the plans for a machine that they could build to defend themselves.

The Mecha's. Enormous metal fighting machines that were designed to protect the mortals from their gods. The Kings strode into battle upon these collosal vehicles and slaughtered their way through, with their combined efforts, the mad god was destroyed. His death was what brought the battle of the champions to a close. Now the mortals had the power to actually kill their gods, rather than relying on the power of their gods to do it for them. The kings met with their gods and it was agreed that the gods would leave the mortals alone. By this point, the gods had figured out how to create new planes, as such, each went off to create their own.

Every so often, new species will arise, having some how managed to travel across the planes. But, since that day, the gods have not been seen, nor heard from again in the Prime Realm.

Kingdoms[edit]

It is important to note that, in this world, the term "King" is used by both males and females, whereas Queen refers to the King's spouse. As such, female Kings and male Queens are not uncommon.

Aqualonas[edit]

Aqualonas is an underwater kingdom ruled by the Tritons. Situated out in the middle of the Aqual Ocean, there are many small towns, with the capital city of Poseidus. Poseidus is an enormous city covering a 30 mile radius, with the grand palace in the center ruled by the current King, Maeria and her husband Queen Curra. The Aqualonas Kingdom also has several villages on land, where the non-water breathing members of the society live. One of the main island towns is Krumbrag, a town populated primarily by a tribe of dark-blue Orcs and a number of humans and elves, as well as some Tritons who choose to live on the surface. Another of the kingdoms cities is what they would consider a Stronghold. The Volcano city of Molkar. This city is ran primarily by Dwarves and a large number of Gnomes, this place serves as a great forge for the kingdom. It stretches up all the way to the surface, which is the main entrance to the city.

The Balgarak Empire[edit]

Balgarak is one of the oldest Empires, believed to have stretched back to the time of the Gods. The Empire is vast, covering most of the continent of Olias. The Empire, in it's early days, was set on conquering most of the world, however, when then King Elizabeth died, she was surpassed by her son King Ralma. Ralma put an end to the Empire building and set about maintaining it. The Great Wall of Balgarak stretches around the entire Empire and there are few ways in or out that don't involve having to tackle the wall. Balgarak is an open-boardered country at the moment, allowing free trade between itself and the other Kingdoms. Balgarak may not be an expansionist empire anymore, but they are certainly still a formidable force, utilizing a standing army of 500 Mecha's, as well as almost 100,000 men patrolling the boarders at any given time. Travel within the empire is reasonably safe, with the exceptions being the Glindehall Mountains and Kragnar Forest. Glindenhall is infested with the monsters that the Gods set loose all those many years ago, whereas the Kragnar is known to be the hiding place of a number of bandit groups, but seeing how the forest is a legally protected wildlife reserve and over 300 square miles, tracking them down is an almost impossible task for even the Empire's forces. The Balgarak capital of Fanelia is completely different from what one would expect of an empire such as they. The City is more akin to a rural castle-town, with small suberbs outlying an immense castle. Another city of note within the Empire is a city known as Carousel, where an immense Coliseum stands tall and proud. Held within is one of the ancient Giants, a Lion-kin giant by the name of Kaleel, who fights Mecha's and other Giants for the amusement of the people. He hasn't said a word for the 1,000 years that he has been at the Coliseum. Another large city is Karakatai, Lady Simagra is a noble leader of the Garruk house. Very little information exists on her, but rumours abound about her being something... Unnatural...

Karukans Dragonborn Republic[edit]

The Karukans are a republic of Dragonborn, prideful and one of the few Xenophobic kingdoms. While not outright hostile, they are very distrusting of non-Dragonborn. Though they tend to be respectful to members of authority, they seem to ignore the existance of those with lower social standing. They have an extreme distrust of Lizardfolk, seeing them as offshoots of their race, most likely made though some union betwixt direct relatives. Their realm is rather large, on the continent of Govra, north of Olia. Although their realm has never rivalled the size of the Balgarak Empire's, they are still considered a formidable power in the world. Until Recently, the land was known the Maurrugar Kingdom, ruled by King Deikun Spearclaws, but a coup happened and the King was killed, his son, Prince Casvall escaped and hasn't been seen within the Republic's boarders since.

The Underdark[edit]

Surprisingly, the Underdark seems to transcend realities and appears in every realm. The underdark is filled with creatures of all shapes and sizes.

Places of Note[edit]

These are places that are of note, that are not part of any specific kingdoms domain.

The Silent Mountains[edit]

The Silent mountains are a mountain range north of the Balgarak Empire, too immense for even the Balgaraks to attempt to and hold down during their expansion. The Silent Mountains are populated only by a single tribe of Monks (Made up primarily of Dragonborn and Goliaths) the elders of which have taken a vow of silence. They pray to an unknown deity. The Silent Monks are known for their hospitality. They will allow anyone to traverse their mountain and will offer food and shelter to those passing through, as well as training to those that wish to learn their art.

Battleground of the Ancients[edit]

An ancient battleground where the duel between the Champions of the Gods took place. This is a sacred place, where only the bravest travel to.
