The Path of Despair[edit]

What does it mean to be a monk?

Does it really matter?

By now you have lost everything.

You were once upright, firm, honorable and honest as well as soft-spoken.

But, reality is a horrible place.

The desperation of the people you love torn from your hands.

The agony of your silly weakness.

You no longer own anything, but now you can ponder how to bring despair to anyone, after all, why should others be happy if you can't.

We will plunge the world into despair, everything will be devoured by it.

Manifestation of Despair

Starting at 3rd level you can make your despair manifest in a form of your choice, it will be black or with very dark tones and red or yellow eyes, it will resemble a beast or a demon.

You can use this power by spending 1 Ki point.

It will remain within a radius of 18 meters from the monk and cannot move further away.

If the monk moves, it will be forcibly moved with it if it finds itself on the edge.

This being is a perfect copy of you, but has its own Ki points and HP, which incidentally will both be half that of the monk.

He cannot summon more than one such being, and they are immune to psionic damage.

The manifestation cannot be shorter than 8 feet, nor taller than 9 feet, is considered of medium size and can be recognized as an aberration.

Plus you learn a new type of hit:

Draining Fist

To use this power you need to spend 1 Ki point, it can be spent at any time even during a flurry of punches.

The enemy makes a Wisdom saving throw [fixed DC 11] on a successful one he will take no additional damage, while on a failure he will take 1d4 + wisdom psyker damage and the monk will recover half the damage inflicted in Ki points.

Wear the Manifestation

At 6th level, you gain the ability to don your manifestation, which increases your hit points by half to temporary hit points.

Gain resistance to Psychic, bludgeoning, slashing, and piercing damage for 1 minute.

In order to don your manifestation, you must at least summon it, after which it takes a bonus action to don it.

Summoner of Despair

At 11th level, you gain the ability to bring the form of your despair into the material plane in its purest form.

For 3 Ki points, you can use an alternate form of Animal Summon.

Unlike Summoning Animals, you do not need concentration to maintain this power, in addition the forms of these beings are monstrous or shadow-like, they possess the same characteristics as the summoned animals, but, they are recognized as aberrations.

Between desperation and madness

At 17th level when you are wearing your manifestation of despair, you gain immunity to psionic damage and the ability to use 3 ki points to regain 3d8 + wisdom hit points, but you can use this boon only 1 time.

During your successful strikes, you can expend 2 ki points and take 1 level of fatigue to maximize your damage and make one more attack attempt.

By spending 10 Ki points you can remove 1 level of fatigue from yourself.

In addition, the fixed cd of your draining punch is now 14.
