Dogma[edit]

The Great Painter is not just a god of gods, but the father of all creation itself. He spent milenia creating and shaping the worlds, layering one upon another, drawing creatures that would inhabit such a world, and those who could begin to watch over them. After his work was completed, he stepped back and marveled at his creation. However, he noticed that his art, could not do one thing which he wanted, to be able to have the world live. So in an effective effort to give more meaning to that witch he created, he ended his own life with a nearby pen-knife. The result was his creation becoming a living, breathing creature. The painter had made the gods to do his goals, and so only the gods themselves know about his pre-existence. Only a scroll or two today even make a gesture of a god greater than the ones we have today.

Clergy and Temples[edit]

Due to the great painter being dead since the beginning of life, his clergy remains non-existant at best. The handfull of mortals that do know, are watched closesly, and if they begin to plan a way to bring the god back to life, he is quickly exterminated by the gods means. The gods would destroy the scrolls, but if it were not for the written laws passed by the painter himself, they would destroy the evidence of his existence to be only known in the heavens. The only temple to the painter, is made of the bones of a terrasque, his most vile creation, and from live oak trees, hidden somewhere within the plains of existence.

Pantheon[edit]

This Diety is the top of a home-made pantheon for the world of Pondera. [1]
