Elder Dragon of Light[edit]

Aurene, Dragon Full of Light

Warlock Subclass

Aurene, the Dragon of Crystal and Light is the youngest of the Elder Dragons, descended from Kralkatorrik and the legendary seer Glint. Raised in the golden city of Tarir and defended through her childhood by some of the greatest heroes of the age, she ascended to become a new Elder Dragon, one dedicated to peacefully maintaining the natural and celestial order of the world, and doing so without the use of unnecessary violence. She does not corrupt people against their will, all those who wish to accept her transformative powers are made fully aware of the results of doing so, and her influence is much less physically obvious than those of her fellow Elder Dragons. Her servants form an order known as the Crystal Bloom, which focuses on healing and restoration, though they will not hesitate to take up arms in defence of others. The Crystal Bloom counts mostly Sylvari and former Sunspears and the Awakened servants of Joko, though any who prove willing can be accepted into Aurene's service.

Aurene grants you the ability to add the following spells to the Warlock spell list, and you may choose them when selecting spells.

2nd lesser restoration, prayer of healing
3rd beacon of hope, daylight
4th aura of purity, death ward
5th dawn, greater restoration

Crystal Bloom Initiate[edit]

At 1st level, you gain light and sacred flame as free cantrips.

Bond of Faith[edit]

At 1st level, Aurene rewards those who make a leap of faith. As a bonus action you may cause crystalline wings to burst from your back and launch yourself safely to a location within 60ft. You can see. On impact, you grant yourself and all allies within 5ft. of you an amount of temporary hit points equal to half your level. You may use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. You regain spent uses after a short rest.

Bond of Vigour[edit]

Starting at 6th level, Aurene’s blessings can be wielded to protect yourself or others. As a reaction when you or an ally in 30ft. is targeted by an attack or spell requiring a dex save, you may use your reaction to grant the target half cover as prismatic crystals burst up around them. This cover will persist until the beginning of their next turn, or until they leave their space, whichever comes first. You may use this feature twice. Uses recharge on a short rest. You gain resistance to radiant and necrotic damage.

Bond of Life[edit]

At 10th level, Aurene’s focusing crystals have many uses, and the servants of the Crystal Bloom may be granted one to aid them. As an action you may summon in one of Aurene’s floating prismatic focusing crystals. This is a medium sized crystal which occupies its space, has hit points equal to five times your Warlock level, an AC of 12+your proficiency, and immunity to poison, psychic, necrotic and radiant damage. Yourself and anyone you designate as an ally who ends their turn within 30ft. of the crystal regains 2d6 hp. The crystal persists for one minute. You may use your bonus action to cause it to float in a direction you choose up to 30ft. You may use this ability once, recharging on a long rest.

Full of Light[edit]

Starting at 14th level, Aurene overflows with light, and her strongest servants can channel that light into miracles. As an action, pick one individual who has dropped to 0hp or died within the past minute. They are brought back to life with half of their hit points, stand up, and gain half cover from prismatic crystals around them until the beginning of their next turn. Alternatively, you may choose to use this ability on yourself when you drop to 0hp or die. If any limbs were removed in the process of death, upon resurrection the subject will have a fully functional crystalline replacement. Upon using this ability roll 1d4. The result is the number of days that must pass before you can use this ability again.
