The Dragon's Scale[edit]
Warlock Subclass
Your patron is one spoken of in legends across all the lands; dragons. Whether it be a young adult looking to gain power through the “Scales” that serve them, a powerful hatchling, or even an ancient dragon that looks to carry out some sort of malevolent or benevolent agenda. Regardless of your motivations you draw on the power of your draconic patron to emulate their ferocious being wherever you may step. Appropriately named you have been gifted a small piece of one of their scales to act as your spell casting focus. You are now a “Scale” of your draconic patron.

This aura can be dismissed as a bonus action. The aura ends early if you fall unconscious, are incapacitated, or die. You can use this Aura a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. You regain all expended uses after a long rest.
- Dragon's Might
At 6th level your draconic capabilities grow more powerful, your Dragon’s Aura now overcomes resistances (but not immunity) of its associated damage type.
In addition, while Dragon’s Aura is active and you hit a creature with an attack and roll damage against it you deal an additional d6 of damage of the corresponding damage associated with your Patron, this damage overcomes any resistances as well.
- Dragon's Resilience
At 6th level you gain resistance to the damage type that is affiliated with your Patron as shown in the Dragon’s Aura Table above.
- Dragon's Pride
At 10th level, for your loyalty your Patron awards you a one time gift from their hoard. Choose any Wondrous Item of Rare Quality or lower on the Magic Item Table, you may only choose one.
Additionally, you take on some physical resemblance of your patron, this may come in the form of growing scales in small patches across your body that match that of your patron, or your eyes could change to resemble theirs. Thanks to this change you gain proficiency in the Intimidation skill, if you are already proficient in the Intimidation skill, double your proficiency bonus for those checks.
- Dragon's Wrath
At 14th level your Dragon’s Aura has grown in power immensely, while Dragon’s Aura is active you now treat immunity to your affiliated damage type as resistance to your affiliated damage type. Your Aura now has a range of 10 feet.
While Dragon’s Aura is active you gain the following benefits:
- While Dragon’s Aura is active you are immune to being charmed or frightened.
- You grow spectral wings resembling that of your patron, you gain a flying speed of 40 feet.
- As an Action, you focus your Aura in a blast of energy much like that of your patron’s breath attack. You unleash a blast of energy in a straight 5 feet by 60 feet line. Any creatures in that line must make a Dexterity saving throw against your Spell Save DC taking 8d6 on a failed save and half as much on a successful one. After you use this ability and on the start of your next turn roll a d6, this attack recharges on a 5 or a 6.
