The Deformed (Lovecraftian Sci-Fi Campaign)
From D&D Wiki
The Deformed[edit]
There is an incredible variety of life that can be found within this group, many of them of which now live under oppression. Created from risky experiments and for the pursuit of many sciences or magics, they are lifeforms that have been altered. Many of them now roam the planets, hiding, killing, and stealing whatever they can, and only rarely engaging in socialization and diplomacy.
Societal Relations[edit]
On many planets, Deformed is a categorization of lifeforms that have been experimented on. Many stay in labs to be used, but many have been released into he world as trash or escaped into society. They hold no rights, whether or not they have been created from intelligent life or not. Oftentimes, under the experimentation of magic, they have been described as possessing perceivably "eldritch" features. This includes the possession of an unusual amount of eyes, having tentacles instead of limbs or just placed on their body, and even having some abnormal physical or magical capabilities. They are actively hunted and killed if they are outside of their testing chambers, and many bounty hunters make a living searching and containing the threats.
