Tetrachromat Dragonborn[edit]

We couldn't believe our eyes. After years and years of cross breeding, Magically fusing different types of humanoid dragons, an egg was finally birthed. After it hatched, it was so beautiful, having every possible color known to existence, but at the same time, it often had no color, or colors we couldn't comprehend, experiment D-57278, no it needs a proper name for its race, let alone what to call him.

Five years after its hatching it started to breath, beams, none of the humanoid dragons we managed to bring back could breath beams, but it doesn't seem to have any control. I am calling it a Tetrachromat Dragonborn.

Sixteen years of its hatching, it, changed sex? I am not sure how this is possible but it seems to be able to change its sexual organs over night, we, had no clue this was ever possible, I wonder if it is capable of asexual reproduction.

Eighteen years of its hatching we decided to see what would happen if it had developed love, and were to "marry" their partner, but unknowing to me, their partner was a subject to another project, and when it was supposed to marry them, it witnessed its death, the dragon seemed to act, almost human, falling to their knees crying for hours until passing out because of it.

This is Alexander Zenith, it has been just 10 days since the death of his partner. This is a warning to anyone who finds this, DO NOT INTEREACT WITH THIS, THING. T-This was a mistake, mortals should never try to break the laws of nature. We have lost countless men, I have to escape before he finds me.

Physical Description[edit]

Similar to the dragonborn that were bread to create the original, Tetrachromat Dragonborn are humanoid, roughly the same size of a dragonborn with had a sleek face, it had beautiful wings and a long tail, had horns almost looking like a crown. When it asexually laid 5 eggs for the first time, they all hatched and the hatchlings 5 looking almost identical to their parent, the only physical differences is would be the pattern of their skin and that the males had rougher skin and females had more smooth and soft skin. When they would have children, the females almost always laid eggs and hatch more Tetrachromat Dragonborn, though the times they didn't the child was a live birth and was the race they bread with, but had splotches of random colors along their body. When the males would find a mate and have children, when it was a non-dragonoid creature, it would give birth to a creature of that race but with the colors of the father, but when it bread with a dragonoid creature, it would hatch an egg similar to the Tetrachromat Dragonborn eggs, but when they hatched it had the looks of the Tetrachromat Dragonborn but the never had the capability of a true Tetrachromat Dragonborn.

History[edit]

Before the first Tetrachromat Dragonborn was laid than hatched, it was roughly 70 years of kidnapping and breeding different humanoid dragons to try and create a dragon of every race, of every color, even going as far as getting real dragon sperm. Many lost their lives but the creation they made was perfection. When the Tetrachromat Dragonborn hatched it had wings and a tail, unlike most dragons however, later in life it began to shot beams from its mouth, we thought it was a something akin to their dragon breath but not their dragon breath itself, turns out the beams were its dragon breath, causing the scientist to be very pleased. 18 years later, it broke out of the facility with three other experiments now made friends, and went their separate way for the next 30 years, during these 30 years our Tetrachromat Dragonborn we know had learned how to use magic like they never seen before, they also attempted asexual reproduction, successfully laying eggs, all hatching.

Society[edit]

The Tetrachromat Dragonborn will often do their best not to kill anything with conciseness unless their forced to, they made a village in the same hill where the first Tetrachromat Dragonborn had laid the first natural Tetrachromat Dragonborn. It has been a custom that every Tetrachromat Dragonborn lays their eggs in this village, allowing them to be safe when they are born ensuring that no one because an experiment like the First Tetrachromat Dragonborn was. Once a year every Tetrachromat Dragonborn will go to the village on the day the First escaped the laboratory to celebrate a festival.

Tetrachromat Dragonborn Names[edit]

Tetrachromat Dragonborn names often don't have meaning, but if they were to have any symbolism, it would be based around colors, specifically a name that usually means multiple colors.

Male: Cyrus, Samson, Jalus, Akash Walken.

Female: Iris, Itzel, Idalia, Enfys, Chromy.

Tetrachromat Dragonborn Traits[edit]

Tetrachromat Dragonborn were born from the first Tetrachromat, which was a hatched after 70 years of breeding. All Tetrachromat after them were laid from Asexual reproduction.
Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 1 and Strength or Dexterity score increases by 1
Age. They age around the same as humans before hitting maturity, than aging extremely slow, being able to live for eons.
Alignment. Often Tetrachromat Dragonborn have learned to live a life of peace and harmony, but due to the nature of so many dragons being mixed in your D.N.A. they have a low but existing chance to be quite violent and mischievous, making most lawful neutral or lawful good, but rarely chaotic neutral, chaotic good, and once every couple hundred years an evil Tetrachromat would be born.
Size. The size varies but is based on what sex they were born, is always medium. Females heights range from four to six feet tall, where males range from five to seven feet tall.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet. Your base flying speed is 30 feet. Females can not wear heavy armor, where males can but have 5 less flying speed.
Darkvision. Tetrachromat Dragonborn have adapted living and flying at the strange hours of their world, 24 hour days 24 hour nights. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of grey.
Dragon. Your creature type is both dragon and humanoid.
Breath Weapon. Similar to your natural cousins, you can use your action to exhale destructive energy. Your subrace determines the size, shape, and damage type of the exhalation. When you use your breath weapon, each creature in the area of the exhalation must make a saving throw, the type of which is determined by your subrace. The DC for this saving throw equals 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus.
Sex difference. The physical body of a Tetrachromat Dragonborn changes based on what sex it, as such they gain bonus's based on what sex they are: If your male you are 1ft taller and weigh 50 more pounds. If you are female you are 1ft shorter and weigh 50 less pounds.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and Draconic.
Subrace. Though physical appearances may be, mostly the same, the Tetrachromat Dragonborn have three primary subraces that are dictated by strange magic which runs through every Tetrachromat Dragonborn.

Elementally attuned[edit]

Ability Score Increase. Your Intelligence score increases by 1.
Breath Weapon. You release a 5 by 30 ft. line of Elemental Fumes. Dexterity save. Starting at 1st level your breath weapon does 4d4 of the one of the elements following elements of your choice fire, cold, lightning, poison, acid on a failed save, and half as much on a successful one. Increase the dice level by one stage at levels 5(4d6), 11(4d8) and 16(4d10). Can not use the same element twice in a row. Based on what element you used, an effect will happen if they fail a Constitution save : Fire=Ignite targets to deal 1d6 fire damage at the start of their turn. Cold=Ice builds up on their clothing and armor, causing their speed to be halved for 3 turns. Lightning=Electrocutes targets, stunning until the end of their upcoming turn. Poison=Inflict a sickness on your targets, gaining the poisoned status effect, targets may use their action to get rid of the poisoned effect. Acid=Melts the armor and weapons a little bit until fixed. Armor losing 2 ac and weapons gaining -2 to damage.
Elemental Affinity. By the strange magic that flows within you, you are capable of communicating with elementals, you learn the languages of Terran, Aquan, Auran and Ignan. As an action, you may cast spell Absorb Elements at 2nd-level. You may use this an amount of times equal to your proficiency bonus, you regain uses after a long rest.

Metallically attuned[edit]

Ability Score Increase. Your Wisdom score increases by 1.
Breath Weapon. You release a 15 ft. cone of Metallic Shockwaves. Constitution save. Starting at 1st level A creature takes 2d6 Thunder damage on a failed save, and half as much damage on a successful one. The damage increases to 3d6 at 6th level, 4d6 at 11th level, and 5d6 at 16th level. When a target takes damage this way they must make a Strength save or be pushed back 30 feet, if they get knocked against a wall they take 1d6 bludgeoning damage if their a medium creature or higher, and 2d8 damage if they are a small creature or smaller. You may use this an amount of times equal to your proficiency bonus, you regain uses after a long rest.
Metallic Affinity. By the strange magic that flows within you. As an action, you may cast heat metal at 2nd-level. You may use this an amount of times equal to your proficiency bonus, you regain uses after a long rest.

True Tetrachromat[edit]

Ability Score Increase. Your Charisma score increases by 1.
Breath Weapon. You release a 10 by 50 ft. magical beam of every possible and incomprehensible color. Dexterity save. Starting at 1st level your breath weapon does 1d2 acid, 1d2 cold, 1d2 fire, 1d2 force, 1d2 lightning, 1d2 necrotic, 1d2 poison, 1d2 psychic, 1d2 radiant, and 1d2 thunder on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one. You may only use this equal to half your proficiency level, at level 11 it becomes equal to your proficiency level. You regain uses after a long rest. This counts as a magical attack when involved with damage calculation (eg. Weakness/Resistance/Immunities, feats etc) Increase the dice level by one stage at levels 6(2d2), 11(3d2) and 16(4d2).
Tetrachromat Heritage. Being a Tetrachromat pureblood, you are connected to the very elements of the universe. As an action, you may cast Chiromantic orb at the 1st level. You may use this an amount of times equal to your proficiency bonus, you regain uses after a long rest.
Sex change. After concentrating for 1 minute, you may change the sexual organs of your anatomy to the opposite sex, or have sexual organs of both sex's, your body structure may change between male and female.
