Terroki[edit]

The terrokii, also known as feris hominibus, are a species of brutal warriors hailing from Terrok, a mysterious planet within the Sanguis region of the Astral Plane. Led by the Sanguis Imperium, the species is often considered a race of violent murderers. This misconception can be easily dismissed by informed folks who realize the species has discovered fast inter-planar travel and has access to many other advanced technologies

Physical Description[edit]

The terrokii are a humanoid race with abnormally long limbs. They have claws on each hand that can grow up to 4 inches long and tails that grow up to 2 feet long. Over times, their tails can split into several thinner tails, eventually looking like a bundle on tendrils loosely bound together. Northern terrokii are known to have skin colors ranging from a rusty brown to a bright crimson and southern terrokii are known for being a deep violet or a cold black. Female terrokii are noticeably taller than males and their tails split less than males.

History[edit]

The history of the terrokii is mostly unknown to outsiders, but the little amount of information that is well-known makes them misinterpreted as little more than bloodthirsty brutes. Unbeknownst to most denizens of the Material Plane, the terrokii originally coexisted with the humans at one point. But after a great catastrophe that nearly completely destroyed our world, Terrok was completely removed from the Material Plane and became a floating rock in the Astral Plane, a fate that befell various other worlds. For a time, the Terrokii simply focused on restoring their power and glory, eventually leading them to become a threat to nearby areas of the Astral Plane. The most notable example of the terrokii being a threat was when they were under the rule of Scourge, the Forsaken Tyrant of Frost. He was the first leader of the Corpse Legion and started secret experiments on his own citizens for nearly a millennium until he had control of a large, hidden army of undead. After Scourge was assassinated by a group of heroes, the Sanguis Imperium was finally was free to have fair rulers, leading to great prosperity and their return to the Material Plane. Though not a purely good force, the Sanguis Imperium has vowed to prevent chaos within the Material and Astral Planes, hoping to prevent the annihilation of another world.

Society[edit]

The Sanguis Imperium is led by an Imperator, who are usually part of or the beginning of a dynasty. The majority of the peoples living within the Sanguis Imperium are either slaves or soldiers, the remaining few being outlaws, scientists, workers, and royalty. Terrokii usually only enslave offworlders, or externi, and populations that refuse to submit to their rule. Many worlds fall under the control of the Sanguis Imperium, with their reach only recently spreading to the Material Plane, leading to refugees and scouts discovering our world.
