Weapon (trident), Legendary (Requires Attunement)

Named after the god of war, the tempus trident is supposedly a divine arm from the god's arsenal itself.

The trident has a golden sheen to its prongs, wrapped around the pointing end of the weapon. The polearm is as long as a person's arm span, with a pommel embossed with the symbol of crossed weapons of war. The central prong of the trident protrudes in two places with small decorations of engraved spears, swords, hammers, and lances.

You received a +3 bonus to attack rolls you make when attacking with this trident.

Returning Weapon. If you throw this weapon, it returns to your free hand at the end of your turn, no action necessary.

War Shards. The trident has three charges, represented by its three sharp prongs. By expending a charge as an action, you can cast conjure volley as a 5th-level spell without using a spell slot. The prong then shatters, its pieces becoming the ammunition used in the spell. When cast this way, the spell deals lightning damage. If you expend the last charge, roll a d20. On a 1, the entire trident shatters into pieces. It regains all expended charges daily at dawn, magically regenerating its broken prongs.

Tempus' Brutality. This weapon lands critical hits on a roll of 19-20.

Steel of War. Any creature the trident hits with a critical becomes vulnerable to lightning damage until the end of their next turn.
