Tau'ri (5e Race)
The Tau'ri[edit]
"To hunt successfully, you must know your ground, your pack, and your quarry"
Physical Description[edit]
The Tau'ri closely resemble Humans in their biology, maturing at about 16, they appear to live to about 80 years old, with a few distinct differences. The first thing I noticed while studying the Tau'ri, is the exotic and vibrant colors of their hair. These colors appear to range from Coal black to snow white, or from ocean blue to a fiery red, truly unlike anything we humans possess. The next thing I noticed is the entrancing Cat-like eyes of the Tau'ri. These eyes are often said to be quite unnerving to those not used to them, and I can understand why. They hold a strange intensity to them, they are the eyes of a people born to kill... Another distinguishing features, and probably their most unique ones are the 2 cat-like ears, and long slender tails every one of them possesses. The ears work with their excellent scent of smell, to give them perceptive abilities unlike any other, and their tail, oh my it is fascinating. The Tau'ri use this tail as a third arm, to hold tools, weapons among other things. These features make these people almost unmatched in tracking, I am lucky they have not discovered me yet..."

History[edit]
My study of the Tau'ri is progressing nicely. Thanks to woodland incense I am able to hide my scent from their Scouts, However, I think they may be beginning to catch on... Anyway, my research into the history of the Tau'ri isn't going as well as I hoped it would. Their people seem to write down very little besides instructions on how to hunt. From I could figure out from my rummaging about their "Library" the Tau'ris history dates back a good few thousand years or so, however where they came from, or how their society evolved remains a mystery to me. I shall attempt to learn more, but I must be careful, they appear to be learning that someone is watching them"

Society[edit]
My research into the Tau'ris society has produced interesting results. The Tau'ri appear to hold a warrior style society based on Honor, making their villages in dense and hostile forests. They appear to hold quite closely knit societies called "Clans". Withing a clan, there is a single "Elder" who appears run the clan, and make any important decisions. The rest of the clan are split into hunters, who act as warriors as well, and gatherers, (mainly made up of women). The hunters are the warriors of the tribe, they will protect its people, and hunt for food, and while they do hunt for animals, i have discovered something quite sinister about their people. Upon discovering a travelling group of humans,l The Tau'ri will do 1 of 2 things. First, they will begin a hunt, as humans are much more dangerous prey, those who kill a human are regarded as highly skilled warriors amongst the clan. Or... they play with their prey in a much more sinister way. You see, the Tau'ri are a VERY deceptive race, and are highly charismatic when it comes to luring in prey. They will welcome the weary travelers into their village, throw a feast in honor of their guests and wait until the humans pass out drunk. This is easy to do, as the Tau'ri have a much higher alcohol tolerance then most other races, seemingly due to the herbs they use on cooking being a very potent form of alcohol. The Tau'ri are sinister and deceptive people, who care little for the lives they take. Their humanesque appearance gives people a sense of ease around them, but at heart they are still animals, born to be the purrfect killers and to anyone who reads this in future... Do not TRUST them!
