Born of the queen Taratect one of a million literally .

Origin[edit]

Born of the queen Taratect they are descendants of the divine beast Ariel. They were in fact born as the future soldiers of Ariel's war against the elves. Each Taratect has the potential to grow in their own distinct way to add variety to Ariel"s assaults.

Personality[edit]

In generarl their personalities differ much as humans do.

Physical Description[edit]

tiny spiders with white torsos black limbs and red eyes and spots covering their bodies.

Relations[edit]

They are often met with fear as is to be expected of a monstrous creature but there are select cults which worship these being as second coming of Ariel. Not realizing that she has long since reformed into a more humanoid shape. It depends on the individual their opinion on humanoids with but a single exception which is the elves. It is in their nature at this point to loath the elves.

The Most chaotic neutral

Lands[edit]

Taratects can most commonly be found in the underdark but some find their way to the surface

Religion[edit]

They worship their great ancester ariel some choose to also worship a god but this is far from common.

Language[edit]

all tarasects know common undercommon and either celestial, sylvan or infernal based on which they have the most experience with.


Racial Traits[edit]

  • :Strength -2 Dex + 2 con -2
  • Small lesser Teratacts greatest assets are speed ,stealth , webs, poison and heretic magic.
  • Magical Beast(arachnid):All benefits of the magical beast type.
  • Small: (Various Miscellaneous Bonuses throughout their skills--not added yet)
  • Teratects base movement speed is 40 feet with a climb speed of 30
  • Natural Camouflage: Can easily hide without being detected by most larger creatures.
  • Darkvision: has darkision 60 sees in shades of red
  • Poison (Ex): Taratect poison is potent for up to 1 minute. The poison deals 1d4 Con/1d4 Con, Fortitude negates, and the save DC is Constitution based.The Taratect Can store an amount of poison equal to con mod x 1/2 HD a day as a usable item.
  • Poison Immunity: immune to poisons
  • Fast Healing 2:Heals 2 hit points every turn fire prevents for one turn.
  • Web Shot (Ex): Arane can throw out a natural web which functions like a net which they are proficient with. They may do this a number of times per day equal to 1 + their Con modifier (minimum 1). They are also proficient in actual nets.
  • Webcrawler (Ex): Taratects are unaffected by webbing, including the web spell and spider webs.
  • Hit Die: Teratect gains 2 hit die as a magical beasts with all benifits that gives
  • Eldricht Blast:Taretect Gains Eldricht Blast as a warlock of their level.
  • Skills: Teratects have a +2 racial bonus on Craft checks , move silently and hide checks, and may use both untrained. They are always class skills.
  • Automatic Languages: Common and Undercommon. Bonus Languages: Choose one: Celestial, Elven, or Infernal.
  • Evolution:Taratects as they level up may choose to undertake evolutions that give them greater strength treat these as templates that are added later in a characters life .The only difference is the evolution may be taken immediately upon qualifying then any additional levels needed must be taken on the template in subsequent levels until the adjustment is payed. For example a lvl 3 small lesser teratact could immediately take small taratect at creation but they wouldn't be able to level in their class of choice until lvl 5.

  • Natural Attacks Increase by 1 Categlory.
  • Webcraft (Ex): Teratact can create simple solid or flexible objects without moving parts out of webbing. The Teratact can produce an amount of flexible or hardening spider silk equal to their HD squared x 10 in gold value each day as a 1 round action. They can create any material that can be made out of fabric or wood with the material, but with the hp and hardness of leather or hide (hardness 2, 5 hp/inch). Unlike the web spell, Teratact silk is not flammable and generally reacts as leather or hide to damage. A craft check may be required to construct certain items.

Teratact silk eventually decays after 1 week. Via easy to produce but expensive alchemical processing, it can be made permanent by spending 1/6th of the cost of the item to stabilize the webbing. Teratact can typically create the required materials on the spot with any amount of water and organic debris, no check is needed to make it, and it has no other purpose than to stabilize Teratact webbing. The poison deals 1d4 Con/1d4 Con, Fortitude negates, and the save DC is Constitution based Secondary effect Sluggish effect and on failed check single turn paralysis. The Taratect Can store an amount of poison equal to con mod x 1/2 HD a day as a usable item.
  • Innate sphere access gain intermediate access to the Venom Sphere
  • increase fast healing by 2

  • Parrallel Mind(Ex): The tarasects mind creates a second personality with seperate processing power which allow it to divide its attention among multiple tasks at the same time. A Terasect gains an extra partial action each round, during which it typically casts a second spell or activates a magic item after it moves and attacks or casts a spell.
  • Innate sphere access: intermediate access to the Violation Sphere

Wisdom:at level 13 all spheres gained by this race are mastered this includes future spheres.

  • Web Control :Taratect able to control webs in a 60 feet using an action to replace or bind a target as ber the rules of web or as a net

  • Immortality: Zana Horowa Cannot die if even a fragment of them remains this cannot be used to make duplicates exceptions are spell effects that directly target the soul.
