Skills Athletics +8, Perception +7, Stealth +9 Standing Leap. The raptor's long jump is up to 30 feet and its high jump is up to 15 feet, with or without a running start. ACTIONSMultiattack. The raptor makes two attacks: one with its bite and one with its claws. Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (2d10 + 5) piercing damage. Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (1d10 + 5) slashing damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 16 Constitution saving throw or take 5 (2d4) slashing damage at the start of each of its turns due to a savage wound. Each time the raptor hits the wounded target with this attack, the damage dealt by the wound increases by 5 (2d4). Any creature can take an action to stanch the wound with a successful DC 13 Wisdom (Medicine) check. The wound also closes if the target receives magical healing. Deadly Leap. If the raptor jumps at least 15 feet as part of its movement, it can then use this action to land on its feet in a space that contains one or more other creatures. Each of those creatures must succeed on a DC 16 Strength or Dexterity saving throw (target's choice) or be knocked prone and take 15 (3d6 + 5) bludgeoning damage plus 15 (3d6 + 5) slashing damage. On a successful save, the creature takes only half the damage, isn't knocked prone, and is pushed 5 feet out of the raptor's space into an unoccupied space of the creature's choice. If no unoccupied space is within range, the creature instead falls prone in the raptor's space.

The fearsome talos venator or megaraptor is a savage fusion of praying mantis and megaraptor, with sawlike scythe claws and serrated fangs that quickly leave savage wounds that will cause most of its prey to bleed to death to wounds which are extremely difficult to close. This beast stalks blood-red grasslands and hunts all manner of large and small prey. It prefers biting off the limbs of its victims when deceased to digest or to target the thick muscles of the beck to devour the megafauna of its savannah homelands. |
