Talk:Yang Style (Shinobi World Supplement)

Repulsion Shockwave Jutsu should not exist. It is way too similar to Shinra Tensei from Path of the Exalted, and it is slightly better in almost every way. It has fewer downsides and a similar chakra/damage efficiency. Shinra Tensei isn’t a particularly amazing jutsu, but it’s a Path of the Exalted exclusive and allowing any shinobi that has Yang style to take a better version is certainly not fair to people playing Path of the Exalted. --EternalFutures (talk) 13:48, 31 December 2022 (MST)

If anything, Repulsion Shockwave is slightly worse in every way. On average, Repulsion Shockwave will deal nearly half as much average damage, with more expended chakra per additional damage and less range. There's really only one downside to using Shinra Tensei instead, which is the 6-second timer, but in my experience it almost never comes into play (especially when you have Substitution, which most players will). Additionally, a Yang Style player is giving up Affinity or extra chakra or hit points by taking Yang Style in the first place, which the Path of the Exalted player can take for arguably more benefit, just for one or two similar jutsu. I might think about reducing the base and additional damage from 1d8 to 1d6 (making it exactly half as much damage for 1 fewer base chakra points), but I don't really see that as necessary.--Ref3rence (talk) 20:31, 1 January 2023 (MST)

So I have 2 questions. One for fission technique, is their still an original? Like if the original dies do the clones just split the new chakra and hp maximum or do they all die too? The other is maybe to add adamantine sealing chains. It's technically supposed to be an Uzumaki thing, but they never called it a kekkai genkai, they just said it was due to their exceptional yang chakra. They said it took a mix of excellent chakra control and powerful yang chakra, so maybe make it require the precise chakra control feat. Also I've made enough comments I felt like I should make an account, but have no idea how to tag.

While I couldn't get the wording right, Fission doesn't have an original, if you die your "clones" gain your chakra and hit points. Adamantine Sealing Chains is categorized as a Fuinjutsu, since while we can speculate over whether it's a Kekkei Genkai or Yang Style, it's always been called a sealing jutsu.--Ref3rence (talk) 21:07, 19 January 2023 (MST)

I have a question about flowering ninja art, it states "These flowers live, grow, and die like any other flower." but when we looked into the average lifespan of blooming flowers the ranges vary wildly, is there a specific type of flower we should be looking at or is there an average lifespan for these flowers? --1kili2 (talk) 22:34, 19 March 2023 (CEST)

The point of that line is to show that these flowers are living things that persist after most jutsu would end. While no flower I could find matched their visuals (yellow/golden flowers with two layers of five pointed petals), the closest thing I could find were primroses, which can bloom for around 6 weeks once every year for around 5 years.--Ref3rence (talk) 16:53, 20 March 2023 (MDT)

Regarding scattering thousand crows, if you had affinity in yang style, does that affinity get added every time a creature moves 5 feet in that area or just on the first instance of damage? Sugar rush (talk) 12:08, 29 July 2023 (MDT)

With the overhaul to Affinity (it dealing +1 damage rather than your unarmed die damage), the additional damage is added to every damage roll.--Ref3rence (talk) 08:50, 2 August 2023 (MDT)

Hello, I have a question. Do the "clones" created by "Fission Technique" benefit from Extra Attacks? Or do you have to choose only one that can? AlienNinja (talk) 03:55, 21 August 2024 (MDT)
