Quick Question[edit]
If these count as both unarmed strikes AND weapon attacks, would one add their unarmed strike damage (such as a monk) if it was higher, or replace it? --Vershze (talk) 05:22, 28 October 2024 (MDT)
Clarification[edit]
Hi and thanks for asking. The intention is that if you have a feature that changes your unarmed strike damage, you would use the higher damage provided by that feature instead. The 1d2 damage only is used by humanoids that would otherwise have an unarmed strike that deals 1 + STR mod. You do not add them. The wraps are mostly there to be used for spellcasting that requires a weapon as a target/medium and providing unarmed combatants magical weapons.
