Talk:Weapon Tosser (5e Class)
Main revamper here! I'm strongly considering moving Throw de Grâce to 5th/7th instead of 3rd/7th. As someone said a little further down, classes need more utility and exploratory function to be a reasonable RP option so, in its place, we'll put this ability, written by a colleague:
Uncanny Aim Starting at 3rd level, your familiarity with weapon behaviors gives you a talent for well placed shots against inanimate targets. When making an athletics check to make a non-attack weapon throw, you may double your proficiency modifier for the roll when using weapons you are proficient with, or tools meant to be thrown. This is for actions such as breaking a lock with a thrown hammer, creating hand holds with arrows to climb up a wall, cutting a tense rope, or throwing a grappling hook. At 6th level, you gain advantage on these rolls. If the action would cause you to roll at disadvantage, you instead roll normally, without disadvantage or advantage. Additionally, thrown weapons gain out-of-combat benefits depending on their damage type.

_____ Would you say that characters who reach level 20 in this class are complete tossers? Marasmusine (talk) 07:01, 21 May 2016 (MDT)
Man, another very specialized, heavy combat focused class? Classes are a little more than combat statistics. They rely also on skills and exploration and/or interactionfeatures too.
Yes, but depending on which path you choice which I have not finished will determine how you play and what you use.
- I don't suppose I can encourage you to choose a different name, as "tosser" is a British slang term and I crack up laughing (on the inside) everytime I see this. Marasmusine (talk) 08:08, 21 April 2019 (MDT)
