idea for variant[edit]
What if when the item shatters on use, it deals damage to a hostile creature if it is within 5 feet of the wearer? Or maybe it explodes with some force yet protects the wearer at the same time to push enemies some distance away? I feel like this could add extra tactics to consider in battle. - While that would be interesting, it runs counter to the intent of the item. It may be intriguing to have what essentially amounts to a glyph of warding made portable, but that would be a page of its own. --Nuke The Earth (talk) 15:06, 15 November 2024 (MST)
