Class Name?[edit]

Hi. I wanted to just make a request. The "Warden" as a class in the previous version of D&D is a primal class and has to do with nature. Your version of "The Warden" is great but thematically it has the making of a Fighter 2.0. Maybe a more suitable name should adjust to it to avoid confusion.

I found some that you can use:

  • Avenging Slayer
  • Bladestorm
  • Duelist
  • Marauder
  • Doomguard
  • Dreadnought
  • Defender
  • Myrmidon
  • Iron Vanguard
  • Knight
  • Protector
  • Mythic Slayer
  • Pit Fighter
  • Ravager
  • Battlerager
  • Scale-Breaker
  • Shield Adept
  • Siegebreaker
  • Warfield
  • Stalwart Knight
  • Wrathbearer
  • Eternal Defender
  • Invincible vanguard
  • Legendary General
  • Warlord
  • Sovereign
  • Warmaster

Balance Input[edit]

I almost undid this edit because I thought it were too strong but reconsidered since it is 6th level. I am curious how others feel about this edits power spike. ~ BigShotFancyMan 08:13, 22 April 2019 (MDT)

I feel the edit doesn't increase the power level of the feature too much in most circumstances, but it can be a huge boon if fighting against enemies that do deal all those damage types. I am on the side of reverting it since the feature in question is already stronger than the other subclasses' 6th level feature.--Blobby383b (talk) 17:18, 21 August 2019 (MDT)
I am on the fence and I think you have the right idea to revert the edit.   ~BigShotFancyMan   talk   21:31, 3 September 2019 (MDT)

Resilicnce Trait[edit]

I think the resilience trait should be buffed, because no matter what level you're at, it is tiny compared to the damage you'll be taking.

Revisiting[edit]

This class seems like another complete class to me. I don't see any crazy buffs this gets or features that scream you can't play D&D without this class. I am much more a fan of the Assualt Warden since I find its features more interesting. Spell casting should help this class with any minor short comings it has as well. I would definitely like to hear about playtesting with this (and the arcane archer).   ~BigShotFancyMan   talk   07:42, 6 September 2019 (MDT)

Huh, I prefer the other two subclasses for being a bit more unique and interesting to create features for. Either way though, both this class and the arcane archer are feature complete and have been for some time, yet I haven't managed to playtest them all this time. Overall they should be ok, but I am a bit worried about the warden due to it having access to the sorcerer spell list(paladin's not so much). If it does ends of being an issue, a custom spell list can still be created pretty easily though without really affecting the core class.--Blobby383b (talk) 11:46, 6 September 2019 (MDT)
I have an itch for NPC creation so I'll try to remember this class when I start creating them, and hopefully I can mock play some things.   ~BigShotFancyMan   talk   13:03, 6 September 2019 (MDT)
