Different Forsaker, this is the WotC Forsaker and in the book the requirements are Great Fortitude, Lightning Reflexes, Iron Will, and to have a bad experience with magic. --User:Tejan
the 3.0 class. thats not 3.5. not sure if that qualifies as a 3.5 optimization --Name Violation 14:44, 5 December 2011 (MST)
There's no book which has a 3.5 Forsaker. There's a Homebrew which claims to bring it up to speed, but no official book. Also quite a few builds on this site have 3.0 classes and weren't taken down. --User:Tejan
I'm not advocating taking it down, but maybe a note next to MotW that says (3.0). its a more obscure book. --Name Violation 17:52, 5 December 2011 (MST)

Input[edit]

Correct me if I am wrong but the Forsaker's Tough Defence ability gives him a bonus to his AC equal to his CON modifier. This would stack with the Stone Warden's ability Stone Warden, granting him 2x his CON modifier.

Following this train of thought. Instead of taking the first level of crusader, take the level in Monk, granting a bonus to AC equal to your WIS modifier (Make sure to make WIS your third highest ability) and unarmed strike. Continue with the progression from level 2. At level 12, instead of taking Endurance, take Power Attack, you are now eligible to enter the Fist of the Forest PrC at level 13 (Which coincidentally works perfectly with VoP). This grants you another AC bonus equal to your CON modifier.

Doing the math: Base score: 18 Racial: +2 Forsaker: +9 Vow of Poverty: +4 Ability Score Increase: +2 Total: 35 (Modifier of +12)

So, 10 base + 12(Con) + 12(Con) + 12(Con) + 10(VoP) + WIS = 56+Wis armour class bonus.

Finally take the level in Crusader at 14 (You will have an Initiator level equal to 7, allowing you to take things like Divine Surge and Revitalizing Strike) Continue with 2 levels of Fist of the Forest to increase your fist damage to d10s.

This is just something that I found when playing this build. --Warkan 01:06, 1 April 2012 (MDT)
