Talk:Unnatural Aura (3.5e Trait)

Noticed that the page has he imbalanced tag on the grounds that the drawback is not twice that of the benefit, when in fact it is; as written the trait grants +2 to two checks and -2 to FIVE other checks (although the last two are in an easily-missed "special:" section). Many official traits (such as Easygoing) work similarly, granting penalties to twice as many skills instead of twice the penalty to one skill. Any potential problem would likely come from the fact that casting a will-save spell technically isn't a skill, in which case it should be marked disparate or unrelated bonus and drawback, not what it currently is. Still, the bonus is limited to a small subset of spells (fear effect) closely related to the other half of the bonus, which seems to damage that argument as essentially what it does is give a bonus to both magical and mundane forms of intimidation. While I'm reluctant to actually remove the tag as a new user, I definitely suggest any more experienced users take a second look at the trait and reconsider the tag.

I've removed the tag, I must have misread it I guess? Marasmusine (talk) 05:10, 23 October 2014 (MDT)
