Better, But Not Good Yet[edit]
The ability modifiers are substantially better than they were last night, especially with the most recent erratas to Wild Shape that makes your con-to-HP not change when you use it. That at least doesn't make it the best druid and rogue race ever put to print anymore. However, I still believe that Tiny is just too good, especially for what they get. All the advantages without the disadvantages, too -- their low speed doesn't even matter, thanks to that fly speed (why is that there?). Speaking of which, a fly speed at level 1? That makes you immune to all the level 1 monsters right there. Surgo 11:08, 11 June 2009 (MDT)
- The flight speed was mainly to allow the Tylwyth Teg to keep within the realms of the Sprite domain, it would be hard to give a tiny -4 constitution creature wings that don't work, they would be fodder to many things at 1st level regarding their inability to use metal weapons if they take druid + penalties for using mainly iron weapons if they take another advantageous class as intended for them such as rogue in order to gain the advantage of their +8 size-category hide bonus. The flight aspect was mainly for flavor, I mean who can imagine a non-flying fairy? --Ehsteve 18:28, 11 June 2009 (MDT)
- Flavor or not, it's totally ridiculous to have at level 1. Surgo 22:29, 11 June 2009 (MDT)
- It's also ridiculous to have a wingless fairy! For your heresy you are never to enter the Gumdrop Forest where pixies dance and play and eat candy all day long! --Ehsteve 22:33, 11 June 2009 (MDT)
- I'm sure you can think of some way to give them wings at later levels and not have a gamebreaking ability at first level. Surgo 23:07, 11 June 2009 (MDT)
- Perhaps not the best choice for a low-level game, but games from a certain level upwards will certainly be able to cope with a 40 ft. flight speed. --Ehsteve 23:59, 11 June 2009 (MDT)
