The axes use non-standard dice to provide the potential for both very high and very low rolls. This design is meant to give the axes a "hit or miss" character, aligning them with a critical hit-focused build and synergizing with weapon damage rerolling.

Dual-wielding these axes requires the user to have a Strength score of at least 20 and forces the user to wield both axes simultaneously. This makes using a shield impossible, thereby increasing the character's vulnerability.
