Hello User:Jimthesellsword, may I ask you why you are changing the whole class every time you edit it ? if you think it's unbalanced I would love to get into a concern about it.

edit: I loved the image, thank you for it

thanks for the tip[edit]

thank you for the tip Marasmusine, i preciate it, i just tought about giving the monk the same Expertise from the rogue, but i tought that two skills were too much

edit: also, as I said in the class, english is my second language, so, again, i'm sorry if I couldn't write it clearly.

That's okay. Just use the same wording as the rogue's Expertise so that it is mechanically precise. I'll adjust it again so you can see what I mean.
For the saving throws, have Strength and then either Dex or Wis (not both).
I haven't looked at the rest of the class yet. Marasmusine (talk) 01:46, 16 January 2024 (MST)
thank you, I appreciate it. But i Have a question still, considering that the monk just get proficiency in all saving throws at level 14, is it still too strong to give him both proficiencies (Dex and Wis)? even considering that both are essential, I'm just giving the monk a little piece of what It would get at higher levels.
Don't give Dex and Wis unless you are incredibly confident in your ability to balance the class, so I guess if you have to ask, then no :)
Dedicated Weapon is a bit confusing, it seems to refer to the regular monk's "simple weapons and shortswords", but the true monk has proficiency in martial weapons. Marasmusine (talk) 16:04, 20 January 2024 (MST)
Ok, Thanks :)
About some of the monk abilities not using ki points, except by quivering palm(fixed), they mean to be like that in reason of the max ki points this class can spend per turn.
also, about the ki healing, I have just wrote ki instead of hit, my bad :).

give me any random tip for what a should change here, i will appreciate everything, also i'm gonna post about some random updates[edit]

Now the monk recovers much less ki per short rest but still have a bigger ki pool, also wisdom have an bigger impact on ki, now it is relevant for ki recovering and max ki points.

Reflavor[edit]

Remember, what something does mechanically, doesn't need to be literally translated to the description of how you do it.

For example:

you hit a minotaur four times and use Inexorable Progress of Dawn and Unbalancing Strike to make it fall and get pushed 10 feet away.

you have no need to make four attacks in your description or use the abilities separately, in this case you can express it like this if you want to:

"As i get closer to the minotaur and I jump to the height o his chest and put my fist close to his chest, but i don't punch him, i just touch it, and then I speak "flux reversion, IMPACT" and turn my my fist in 90 degrees to the left, and make the minotaur spin in the air falling prone 10 feet away while i keep going forward with him but standing on my feet"

And in the end nothing has changed, but it was just way more cool.
