Talk:The Prismatic Infusion (5e Subclass)
From D&D Wiki
Hello, fellow wikian! I think I stumbled upon one of the most creative archetype I've seen in this wiki for the past few months! (That is, since I joined this wiki early in 2017, but still.) I love your work, but I must also say that some parts could be improved a bit or two, perhaps:
- Eldritch Manipulation. For blastlocks, this is an awesome feature. For glaivelocks and others, perhaps not so much. I'm not saying that this is bad or anything, but since 5e warlocks are more versatile than ever, I thought it might be more interesing if the 1st-level feature was something that can be universally used for all possible combinations. Since the concept of this archetype is light, maybe cleric's Light Domain (PHB) can give you some examples, perhaps?
- Flare. An excellent class feature, with a minor hitch: It would be rather bothersome if you can't turn off yourself. I can already imagine a stealth-based campaign going haywire by an ever-sparkling vamp- I mean warlock. (Dang you, Stephanie Meyer, you ruined my brain.)
- Constructs. I'm afraid the current text is rather... vague. I think casting creation with a modification and some restrictions would do, like you can cast it once per long rest but without expending spell slot or material components, and so forth. Just saying "You make things." is not exactly the best implementation.
- Fast as Light. The only problem I have here is the "60 feet" of flying speed, which is quite a lot. Note that even winged boots gives you flying speed equal to your walking speed.
In short: Just a little tweaking here and there and voila! You just created one of the most well-put archetype page in this wiki! I salute thee, O anonymous OC, and I should also ask if I can use the concept of "injection" for future uses. The concept alone has so much potential I cannot help but ask. Keep up with good works, you have a fan here! --WeirdoWhoever (talk) 20:16, 23 July 2017 (MDT)
