Talk:The Better Fighter(a Wizard) (5e Optimized Character Build)
From D&D Wiki
Spells cannot be cast during a long rest; otherwise, you lose the benefit of the long rest.
- Objectively false. Both by wording and by intent, you require an hour of strenuous activity to break a long rest. The Archmage Karsus (talk) 08:18, 17 April 2024 (MDT)
Page 186, Player Handbook "A long rest is a period of extended downtime, at least 8 hours long, during which a character sleeps or performs light activity: reading, talking, eating, or standing watch for no more than 2 hours. If the rest is interrupted by a period of strenuous activity—at least 1 hour of walking, fighting, casting spells, or similar adventuring activity—the characters must begin the rest again to gain any benefit from it."

My friend, it really works. Regarding my text, there is a translation error in my country about the long rest. I even looked it up on Sage Advice to see if it was really possible. Everything works perfectly, the idea is brilliant. Sorry for my mistake. Below, I've included a copy of the Sage Advice text.
