Talk:Terrifying (5e Feat)
From D&D Wiki
Hello, fellow wikian! I get what you want from this feat, but unfortunately, I must say this needs a lot of edits here and there. To elaborate:
- Prerequisites. Notice that in 5th edition, almost all feats that have a certain amount of ability score sets the minimum ability score as 13. Plus, I've rarely seen a feat that requires proficiency in a certain skill - in most cases, you gain proficiency in that skill with the feat.
- Gaining a whopping immunity against being frightened is downright too strong for a feat. I think having advantage on saving throws against being frightened would be a bit better.
- Using Strength instead of Charisma for every occasion? For a fighter, Charisma is more or less a dump stat, this makes a minmaxing feat. I don't think this is a good feature at all.
- You do not do round counting, nor do you use target's level and/or Challenge Rating in calculating DC. I think forcing the target to make a saving throw, instead of the user making an ability check, would be better. Plus, both feature uses an action, which I think might be a bit too much. A bonus action would be appropriate for frightening target, but for paralyzing... I'm not so sure.
Well, that's it. Oh, and I'm moving this page to its appropriate name. --WeirdoWhoever (talk) 14:20, 12 June 2017 (UTC)
Unconditional advantage is very powerful and shouldn't happen in 5e. SirSprinkles (talk) 20:54, 14 March 2018 (MDT)
