It says "for the duration", but doesn't have a duration. Maybe set duration as something arbitrarily high, like 10 years? Marasmusine (talk) 09:59, 25 April 2015 (MDT)
I would also put the ritual feature or add a sacrifice to the components (like a small size creature or larger or a humanoid creature). Azernath (talk) 14:39, 25 April 2015 (MDT)
I have this idea where the caster has to invest a number of their hit dice into the painting, receiving better benefits the more HD they put in. For example 1 HD = unaging, 2 HD= disease resistant, 3 HD = regeneration, 4 HD = resistance. These are HD locked in the painting and cannot be spent on any thing else. Otherwise I am worried that these effectively permanent bonuses are too powerful. And/or have the spell slot used tied up into the painting so it can't be used for anything else. Oh and make the risk of becoming evil gradual, for example a Charisma saving throw at the end of each year DC 15 + number of years? Marasmusine (talk) 10:40, 26 April 2015 (MDT)
I tried adding the ritual feature but couldn't, any idea how? Azernath (talk) 11:23, 26 April 2015 (MDT)
- The ritual tag isn't needed here, it already takes 1 hour to cast. Marasmusine (talk) 14:25, 26 April 2015 (MDT)
wow just wow I have a necromancer and this spell is just, killing people and getting to live for ever is cool but my necromancer is not evil enough to do this... Theddguy (talk) 19:28, 10 April 2017 (UTC)
