The image on this page is based on Sonic from Smash bros (and was photoshopped significantly). What, if any, copyright disclaimer should be added?

You don't need to add a copyright disclaimer, because the item itself is not based on anything. The unattributed tag is based on the image only. If you think that the edits to the original image are significant enough, you can claim the image as your own, since that would fall under fair use. Not quite. Templates are inside of {{brackets like this}}. I would recommend adding either a GFDL license, a Creative Commons license, or just making it public domain. Each of those is {{GNU Free Documentation License 1.3 Image Caption}}, {{Cc-by-Nc-Nd-3.0}}, and {{PD-mark}}. --PJammaz (talk) 13:20, 14 April 2020 (MDT)
