Talk:Soulknife Undead Hunter (3.5e Optimized Character Build)
Comment[edit]
I've done this myself, but without autonomous and narrow mind. narrow mind i useless by the time you taking it, you should be auto-passing the check by that level. i always suggest psionic body (for the uber hp bonus)or power attack and cleave for massive armies of low levels. alsoyou could twink some soulbow in there for extra's. i think you can actually dual weild shots at with that.. hmmm --Name Violation 11:35, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, I realized that'd be a wasted feat afterwards. Need to swap that out right quick with something else a bit more useful. I'll be getting on that shortly. I'm not so sure about the Power Attack->Cleave combo, but it seems smart. I'm used to playing the rogue in my groups, as everyone wants to be the fighter or caster. Any other tips or suggestions you'd have? --Adrian Koronikov 12:30, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
- Also you could replace the 3 psiwar levels with fighter for a third attack, or if you can work in 4 you can weapon specialize then take necropotent from libris for a total of +6 damage per hit. alternatively you can use fractional BAB rules from UA to get the better BAB. still think auonomous needs to be replaced, its out of place in an optimized build. --Name Violation 13:30, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, I'm dropping that feat, however, I am still stuck with it in game. Oh well. Still keying this build as much as possible, as RAW as possible.--Adrian Koronikov 17:34, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
- In a gestalt campaign I did ranger/soulknife/soulbow. Mostly because I was looking for a way to circumvent the need for ammunition and took illumine soul for the extra abilities against undead. So far my build has proven to quite the little arrow machine gun. --PixieDragon 04:01, 26 March 2010 (UTC)
Upcoming Edit[edit]
I've found out that two levels of Psychic Warrior can really open this class up. The final build will be Soulknife 10/ Illumine soul 5/ Psychic Warrior 5. This will get around the feat choke, add armor proficiency, and make use of the two power points of wild talent, allowing for three 1st level manifesting powers and two second level powers. --Adrian Koronikov 21:21, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
