Talk:Souleater (5e Subclass)
From D&D Wiki
The healing is not a lot and deals considerably less damage than many cantrips, and much less than Eldritch Blast, which most other warlocks would be using instead of healing with _d6. I don't feel bad about being able to do this repeatedly, since it can't put you above your maximum Hit Points and it's dealing low damage with only half returning as healing. The soul striding was a bit light too, at once per long rest. This isn't much of a combat ability, since it requires a minute to initiate. Added damage so you at least want to be careful of when it ends, but this is more situational and not worth limiting in my opinion. You could always come across damage that you aren't resistant to, and responding to it ends soul striding, so it's a non-issue. I'm feeling good about this one, I like the flavor of it, it gives some really good flavor to the sometimes terrible things a warlock does for their patron. Zibby (talk) 01:01, 4 February 2019 (MST)
