I also think that the sorcerer class in the PHB can use some improvement.

But two significant changes you have made is wicked. Ignore Material Component and Cantrips, I like it. I want to use for my self made class. But both are limitless, I think they are too powerful.

Instead why haven't you made it so that the spells selection is also affected by his/her charisma as with spells per day.

A bard has also a fixed spells selection and the wizard has a spellbook. A sorcerer should be between them with the spells selection.
