Talk:Snowstormer (3.5e Class)
From D&D Wiki
Mechanically[edit]
"So, I wanted to be a warmage, but with a wider spell list, and a rogue, and a scout... and ALL at the same time!"
Basically that? --Ghostwheel 23:38, 2 September 2009 (MDT)
Yeah, it sucked.[edit]
Yeah, everybody in my game thought it was crap too. So, I changed it.
Rating[edit]
Power - 2/5 I give this class a 2 out of 5 because with a spellcasting ability that has practically as many spells/day as wizard, good hit die, good saves, okay bab, AND a bunch of other powers (including a damage bonus on ALL attacks), it's incredibly over-powered. In addition, the BAB and saves are non-standard, which might be intentional, but is still just confusing. --Connery55 20:07, 1 October 2009 (MDT)
Wording - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 because it's all very clear and there aren't any mistakes that I see. --Connery55 20:07, 1 October 2009 (MDT)
Formatting - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 because I can't find anything wrong with the formatting. --Connery55 20:07, 1 October 2009 (MDT)
Flavor - 3/5 I give this class a 3 out of 5 because there's a clear theme, but it isn't really explored. After reading this I know: they live where it's cold, and they kill things. --Connery55 20:07, 1 October 2009 (MDT)
Energy Subtype relative to Class Concept[edit]
I looked over the spell list for the snowstormer and I see that both fireball and meteor swarm are on its spell list. Am I to understand that a class focused on ice has access to fire spells? I would think that you'd omit the fire spells or at least note that all energy spells cast by a snowstormer are affected as if by the metamagic feat Energy Substitution (cold). It's an idea that I think you should seriously consider.--Gedren56 09:16, 2 October 2009 (MDT)
