Calculating CR[edit]
- Hit points: 33 hp (Since the creature has both immunity and vulnerability we will count it as resistance x2 = 66) (CR 1/2)
- AC is 12 This is a difference of -1 from the expected AC. We adjust the DCR up by (-1÷2) = -1/2 (CR 0)
- Defensive Challenge Rating: (CR 1/2)
- Best average damage for one round is 13 (We take the average number of claw which is two attacks plus a bite). We factor that in by taking the average over three rounds. (13 + 13 + 13) ÷ 3 = (13). This gives us an OCR of 1 and an expected attack bonus of +3.
- The actual attack bonus is +4. so we adjust the OCR up by the difference (4÷2) = 2 (CR 2)
- Offensive Challenge Rating: (CR 3)
- Final CR is (1/2 + 3)÷2 = 1.75 so we can say (CR 1)
If this is a Medium creature, why does it have d6 hit dice (the hit dice of a Small creature)? It should have d8 hit dice. SirSprinkles (talk) 17:31, 6 December 2016 (MST)
