Talk:Shortlance (3.5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
What's the rationale behind having a different critical and damage type to a normal lance? If it's not a reach weapon, how is it possible to use it from the back of a charging mount? Marasmusine (talk) 11:21, 1 February 2016 (MST)
- The shortlance is just that, a short lance. Since it is still a lance, it can be used while mounted. But, because it is shorter and less cumbersome its crit damage is reduced, but it is able to be sung, similarly to a longsword, as a bludgeoning weapon. --Shadow Priest (talk) 11:34, 1 February 2016 (MST)
