Talk:Shark-Man (3.5e Race)
From D&D Wiki
I think you should the ability to take 10 on swim checks, even when rushed or threatened, as they are aqautic critters. --Ganre 00:02, 2 May 2008 (MDT)
- It doesn't have to make swim checks - it has a swim speed of 15 feet. --Sabre070 00:31, 2 May 2008 (MDT)
- Sorry, i didn't see that. However, considering it's mainly an aquatic creature, shouldn't it's swim speed be faster than it's land speed? --Ganre 02:12, 2 May 2008 (MDT)
- Yes, or at least the same. --Sabre070 03:36, 2 May 2008 (MDT)
- Hello again, folks. I'm actually in agreement about having a higher swim speed, but as it is now, I don't want the shark-man to have a LA. If I bumped it to 30 feet, it feels like it'll get a LA. Maybe I'm delving too deeply, but since the shark-man is at a serious disadvantage on land (-1 attack, +1 AC but no heavy armor, can't walk on land more than a few minutes), maybe it's not a big deal. What do you think? Swim Speed 30' okay with no LA?
Hanzo187- I don't think a 30' swim speed is cause for a LA, particularly an aquatic critter. --Ganre 17:18, 6 May 2008 (MDT)
- Just made the change to 30 feet.
