Talk:Sephiroth (3.5e Deity)
From D&D Wiki
Absurd/Copyright discussion[edit]
This is absurd. A character from final fantasy should not be classified as a diety.
- Most of DnD is absurd. Mortals shouldn't be able to become deities, magic shouldn't exist, Final Fantasy isn't even real, but I made a ton of Chocobos for DnD. Your argument has no real value, sorry. Sephiroth can be classified as a character class, should someone put the effort into making it. he never became a deity, if it was kefka its ok he is a god in FFVI
- I agree it's absurd, but not because it's Sephiroth, but because Sephiroth is a Registered Trademark he cannot be used without permission from SquareEnix. Is there a way to recomend this page for deletion? --Ganre 14:09, 10 January 2009 (MST)
- Only if the page infringes on the copyright. Copyrights exist so that the lawful owner of the copyright can make money off of his idea without it being stolen/counterfeited/plagiarized/etc. Putting it on the wiki will not make the owners lose money, but the exact legality of it is still a shade of gray. My advice is to consult with the admins to see if you can keep this page. -- Noname 14:16, 10 January 2009 (MST)
- I don't know about deleting it or even copyright infringement, but you can add the {{Copyright Disclaimer}} template to the top or bottom, like I did to all my chocobo creations. I'm not sure as it will do any good, but it does acknowledge that it is a trademakr of SqaureEnix. -Valentine the Rogue 14:19, 10 January 2009 (MST)
Clergy?[edit]
Perhaps if his clergy were commanded to deliver more souls to the Life Stream it would be better? Becoming a cleric just to commit suicide seems a little absurd (see the Shaker religion). -- Jota 13:30, 10 January 2009 (MST)
